Chanukah 5783

Miracles sit in dormancy, and yet
I find gratitude within the habitation
of wayward poems, abound.
Lighting candles upon a crowded altar–
bearing honey, cinnamon, sugar.
Fruit of my pleasure–after labor subsides,
I rest with good intent.
Meditating upon these sacrifices.
Love is optimal–only gift I desire:
want one day of oil  to burn for eight eternities.
